Ewalletxpress Stops Gambling Transactions

Thousands of online gambling enthusiasts were affected in the recent eWalletXpress situation which was first dubbed as ‘technical issues’ by the company. In their notification to customers, eWalletXpress notified players that their gambling related transactions has been suspended until further notice. Well since then, the truth has come out that these so called ‘technical issues’ were in actuality a warrant from the U.S. Government, which effectively seized all eWalletXpress funds. No further details have been released as of yet, however it is quite clear that eWalletXpress will not be a viable USA deposit method option for quite a while, and they likely will not return to the USA market at all.

Shortly after they suddenly became unavailable to their customers in November, eWalletXpress did notify their merchants that they would not longer continue their online payment services at this time due to having been served the warrant and having their funds seized. eWallet also removed the casino deposit option for USA players to register for an account on their website, allowing only Canadian residents to use their payment services. While eWalletXpress was seemingly hoping to keep the involvement of the federal government hush hush from customers, the news has leaked out as players began to ask questions and inquire about their accounts.

Account holders who have currently have funds sitting in their account are able to request a withdrawal at this email address: payouts@ewalletxpress.com. eWalletXpress has indicated that they have every intention of transferring funds back into their customers’ checking accounts once their technical issues are resolved.

Quite a few poker rooms and casinos will be affected by these circumstances because eWalletXpress was one of the most popular and in some cases, the only option for USA players. Some of the online poker rooms that will be hit by this scenario include Bodog and Carbon Poker, among others. Many of the casinos and poker rooms which were affected have replaced eWalletXpress with one of the two newest US friendly ewallet options: MyPayLinQ Casinos and MoneyLineWallet Casinos. Both of these deposit method options are starting to pop up at casinos, poker rooms, and sports betting sites which previously accepted eWalletXpress.

A similar situation occurred with NETeller, who at one time was very active in the USA market. It took over a year, however players were eventually allowed to withdraw the money they had sitting in their NETeller accounts. We are hoping that the same will be true for eWalletXpress customers, and that they will see the return of their money safe and sound.
